First multihull home in Transat Jacques Vabre

After 15 days 15 hours 31 minutes and 50 seconds at sea, Franck-Yves Escoffier and Erwan Le Roux on the Multi 50 Crêpes Whaou! Crossed the Jacques Vabre finish line off Puerto Limon, Costa Rica at 22:31hrs local time, Monday 23rd November, 04:31hrs UTC/GMT Tuesday 24th November, to take multihull line honours in the ninth edition of the transatlantic race.

The pair sailed the 5805 nautical mile race from Le Havre at an average speed of 13.41 knots.

Safran, an IMOCA 60 co-skippered by Marc Guillemot and Charles Caudrelier-Bénac, is expected to be the first monohull and second boat across the line, due tonight.
